Production Dodge Challenger To Be Unvieled at 2008 Chicago Auto Show
Back in February The Chrysler Group annouced the production version of the Dodge Challenger would be unveiled at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show which is being held on February 8-17. As an added bonus every time you see the Challenger Concept this year at an auto show event it will be accompanied by a countdown clock with days, minutes and seconds until the actual release date. The Dodge Challenger will be the first coupe built on Chryslers LX platform alongside the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Magnum at the their Brampton, Ontario plant.
With the unveiling happening in early 2008 this raises questions as to what model year the Dodge Challenger will be released. Will it be a 2008 model or 2009 model. One could assume that Chrysler will probably slap 2009 on the Dodge Challenger but in all its press releases it refers to it as a 2008 Challenger. This kind of leaves me baffled because most car companies like to get a jump on the model year by releasing it 3-4 months before the model year begins. I guess we will have to wait to find out more.
