2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392

We've already brought you news about the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 and the 2011 Dodge Challenger V-6, and now we know how much each model will set you back.

If you want the Challenger looks but don't need the honkin' V-8, you can pick up a 305-horsepower V-6 SE for a base price of $24,670, and an available Rallye Package adds $2,000 to that price. Opt for the Challenger R/T, with its 5.7-liter V-8, and you'll shell out at least $29,670. A "Plus" Package brings the total to $31,170, and buyers who choose the Classic Package will pay $32,970. None of those prices include the $825 destination fee.

As for the 470-horsepower SRT8 392 with its 6.4-liter V-8, the base price is $42,555. That's just a little over a $1,000 more than the $41,230 starting price for the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Again, that price does not include the $825 destination fee. Nor does it include any gas-guzzler tax, and while EPA fuel-economy certification hasn't been performed yet, it's almost a given that the SRT8 392 will get slapped with the guzzler tax.
