Xtreme Velocity Motorsports 1970 Dodge Challenger

I found this article about a 1970 Dodge Challenger that gets the royal treatment at XV Motorsports.  The car is the first produced at XV and price tag proves it at $176K.  Enjoy the article below….

Article: Not good: flashing police lights in my rear-view mirror. Understandable, one might think, considering I’m driving a yellow 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 5.7-liter Hemi under the hood, which makes a vroom-inducing 440 horsepower. However, I’m under the speed limit, so what gives?

The officer edges his cruiser alongside and suddenly I understand.

“You want to look at the car, don’t you?” I say through my open window.  

“Yeah, pull over.”

1971 Dodge Challenger Vert With Viper V10

Building performance takes on many forms. Some people prefer the stealth approach, maintaining a stock appearance while hiding aces under the table, so to speak. Others look for overkill, making the world take notice as engines and accessories protrude from various parts of the body. For Tom Brown, it’s sort of the best of both worlds. Other than rims and interior, his ‘71 Dodge Challenger maintains a fairly sedate outward appearance. When the hood is raised, there are 488 cubes of late-model Viper V-10 wedged into the engine bay, which is more than enough to send the machine deep into triple digit speeds. Chip Foose Resurrects 70’s Dodge Challenger

Chip Foose and Texas based Unique Performance are at it again with an update of the 70’s Dodge Challenger just like they did for the 69′ Camaro.  The Challenger update will follow a similar path to that of the 69′ Camaro which Chip designed and Unique built.  With Dodge unvailing the Challenger Concept this could not come at a better time as the Challenger name and brand are on the minds of many.
